As the editor and publisher of the Mystic Nebula, Christopher Vera writes to document his world: the natural, the unnatural and the supernatural. He is the author of “Transmissions to the Mystic Nebula,” a collection of poetry. He is currently seeking a literary agent to advocate for his debut novel, “The Left Hand of Light.”

His work has appeared in Ship of Fools, COSMOS Magazine, Mobius, Heliotrope, Abyss & Apex, the San Diego Poetry Annual and the Magee Park Poets Anthology.

He holds a Master’s of Fine Art in Creative Writing through National University.

Christopher Vera is a change agent in the information security industry with over 11 years experience in setting security strategy, drafting and publishing security policy, creating and managing multiple computer incident response and forensics teams, as well as vulnerability management, security engineering and security awareness programs. As a Geological Sciences major from San Diego State University, he is trained to examine the positive and negative synergies between large collections of systems. He occasionally presents information security topics in security and electric-grid related forums, such as ISSA’s annual Secure San Diego and for The Security Network.
