The Time of Monsters

While we waste days
pounding sand,
the night terrors
dig their ghoul’s nails
into our backs,
chew handfuls of
our burning flesh.

HesaidshesaidIsaidtheysaid!

None of this
matters.
In a dark cave
under the world
they still hatch.
